TfGM Statement on the Gender Pay Gap Figures 2018/19 TfGM is committed to the principle of equal opportunities and takes this issue very seriously. All employees are paid equally for the work they do, regardless of their sex or any other characteristics, and while it is encouraging that the gender pay gap has reduced since last year, which is positive, there is still work to be done. The gap itself is not driven by different rates of pay for men and women, but rather by the types of roles in which men and women work and the associated salaries. To further reduce the pay gap an action plan has been developed to build on what has already been achieved. This includes identifying and tackling barriers and encouraging women to apply for senior roles in the organisation.
